Is there a known bug in 2011MR1 that anyone knows of where if I have scanned a part, I should then be able to take that data and manipulate it in anyway to create a program using autofeatures, dimensions, etc. However, my dimension editor continues to freeze causing me to have to repeatedly close my program and re-open and continue where I left off. This has got to be some sort of bug. I don't have that many points in my COP to begin with and the part isn't even that large.
If I'm not able to do anything to add value to speed up our data collection processes other than show my designers that something is thin or thick (which it is great at by the way), then I'm going to have a lot of explaining to do because we just dropped a ton on two of these things, and the material in the training manuals from class would never get in depth enough to scratch the surface of something like this.
I'm convinced this is some kind of bug though, and if anyone has any information, or if there happens to be a setting that I can change somewhere to work around this I would appreciate it.
It was just a little difficult to grab any of the points in the cloud. I didn't really have any other problems besides that at it. My best bet would be to just take surface points if the other auto features aren't working for you and just construct the feature from the points. Hope this helps.
