Can not move trihedron

I want to move my trihedron to create a new alignment, it will not move. It just worked in the previous step,now it will not. I opened up an older program and it works, try starting another new program and it will not move. Tried restarting PC DMIS and computer, nothing.

Any ideas???

yeah, you probably turned on Force Alignment in Car Body under the check marks under Setup (F5).

Not sure what happened. I had an old settings editor backup zip file on my desktop. Loaded that in and I was able to move the trihedron again. Called the PC DMIS tech support before doing that and they did not offer up any suggestions.

Colin is Hexagon, so you did get some support from them.

I opened up the program that it happened in and that was the problem.

My only other question is how does that just randomly just turn on? I mean it literally woked 2 or 3 program lines previously and then just lost the ability to move the trihedron, no crash or anything. I didn't go into f5 and turn it on.

Anyways that is what the problem was.

I'm not sure.

Either it was defaulted on previously, or somebody messed with your terminal.

in 4 years of dealing with PCDMIS v4.2 and on, I've never had the Setup Menu develop sentience. Occam's Razor dictates that the simplest explanation is probably the right one.

The important thing is that we found and insta-diagnosis'd it. Now go get 'em.
