Additional scanning

Once you scan a part & make a colormap, then want to add more points, how do you do it? Where do you position the cursor? Must you then make a new colormap or will it add to the existing one?

  • Doesn't matter where your cursor is to add more points. Any new scanned points will be added to the COP, or you can start a new cop. Only problem with having multiple COPs is that you can only colorMap one of them, it will over write the other one. In short you can only have one colorMap.

What will confuse you even more. Sometimes when you have a colormap and you save the program, and then add points and redo the colormap and then save it again. When you go back and re-open the program, it shows the proper color map in the preview window, but when you actually open the program, the original colormap shows up. Then you have to redo the colormap again and save it and hope that next time you open the program the proper color map shows up.
