COP is visible but can not get data from it

Below is a copy of an email I sent to hexagon support. Has anyone else run into this issue?

I am using a Romer Arm RA-7525-SI Serial Number 7525SI-0960-UC which we run PC DMIS CAD++ Version 2011 MR1 ( Custom ).

Problem I am having is that I have a COP and only half the data is usable. I can see the points on the screen but when I go to get dimensions from those points, software says it "need more scan data" I have tried making the search diameter bigger as well as the depth that it looks in also. The other idicator that something is wrong is the face colormap also shows no data in these areas, even though you can physically see the points on the screen. It is a distinct line right down the middle of the part, half the data is there and half is "gone".

I had this happen on another part a few weeks ago, ended up starting over on that part. This particular part I am working on now is 6 foot diameter part that weights over 600 pounds, I would like not to have to start over again.

Side note: The problem did not show up this time until after I did an equate alignment. Last time ( a few weeks ago ), I did not do an equate alignment. The only common factor between the two instances is that I had to do a filter and purge on both parts, otherwise the COPS got to be too large.

See attached images. The blue area on the "lost data" file indicates "No data".

Please advise.
