I am new to pcdmis and I am trying to get some valuable use out of our romer. Can someone explain to me why when I bring the arm over to take a measurement nothing happens and it beeps with a error saying b axis over limit until I bring it back home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Axis over limit error on a Romer arm means that when you are trying to measure, one of your axes is over-extended. When you are over-extended, one of the knuckles is to a point where it can no longer bend any further (like straightening your arm, it can only go so far before your elbow just won't let it go farther.) When you are over-extended, that axis is 'over limit', and prevents you from probing.
What you should try is moving your work piece to where you can reach all of it without being too close to, or too far away from, the Romer arm.
Thanks for the reply, I am trying to measure in quick start and when I go to measure a circle it does not give me the option to measure three hit or 1 single point. My arm will not measure and it shows nothing.
