What would be the best way to inspect the dimension in the picture? It is from the point where the curved detail meets the plate down to where the curved detail meets the other flat surface. Is there an accurate way to find intersection points of the different details? It may be a little easier to check if there wasn't weld where each of these details come together.
From the picture it looks like you could take a plane on the flat surface and use that plane as your active workplane. Then measure the those features on the inside and construct the points from them.
