Anyone have a laser scanner on a romer arm? How accurate is it? We are researching the possibility of getting an arm for reverse engineering. Is this a good tool for this or is it very limited? Can you change from laser scan probe to a hard probe easily? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have requested a demo, but I would like advice from people who are actually using the machine rather than someone who is selling it. Thank you.
We have been using the scanner for a couple of months now. It does a good job +/- .003 - .005. The problem that Alpha is having with restarting his computer is not the computer. We have the same problem and we have a new laptop that come with the arm and the scanner.
