Romer Arm with Laser

Anyone have a laser scanner on a romer arm? How accurate is it? We are researching the possibility of getting an arm for reverse engineering. Is this a good tool for this or is it very limited? Can you change from laser scan probe to a hard probe easily? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have requested a demo, but I would like advice from people who are actually using the machine rather than someone who is selling it. Thank you.

    Randy,

We sell the laser scanner with the arm and also use it for contract inspection! In general terms we quote accuracy of + - .003". No better with an 8' arm. Smaller gets a bit better and longer a bit worse. But that is a general rule with all things being good! Any way we can be of service for you please visit our web site at https://WWW.exactmetrology.com or feel free to call us at 866-722-2600. We specialize is this kind of technology!

    Good Luck!
