Battery Level dropped Error msg

Has anyone seen this msg. "YOUR BATTERY LEVEL IS DROPPED BELOW SAFE LEVELS. THE ARM HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED TO PROTECT THE CIRCUITS.
TO CONTINUE WORKING WITH ARM, YOU NEED TO CONNECT TO AC ADAPTER."

As soon as I open the Arm Utilities or Pc-dmis I get this msg. The Romer arm is plugged in, and it been charging over 2 hrs.

  • OR, your A/C supply is toast and the thing is NOT charging.

I called Hex tech support and I was explained that these Romers are notorious for having bad grounding. So I was left with two options:

1 is to remove the battery from the Romer (easy enough), and just use with the AC adapter from now on. Even if I would get a brand new battery, it would still give me the same error msg, that is what I was told.

or option 2 is to send it to Hex for repair, aprox $3k.

    We chose option 1.
