I have an RS3 scanner that I mainly use on castings. In order to get the whole casting, I need to flip so I've been creating 2 COPS, stitching them together, picking points, and then auto aligning to the model. Now, I need to probe specific features that aren't available when i flip the part. I know there is an equate alignment feature but I haven't been able to get it to work with v2015. Could somebody either give more information on what exactly the equate does or maybe give another way to align the 2 COPS by using the same datums?
I haven't used V2015 yet, but I know in 2014 it is a crap shoot if equate is going to work or not. I primarily use 2014, but if I need to equate something, I back save to 2013 and then I can equate. It works nice if you have to section a casting up and scan interior core passages.
