How does different depth of a hit affects a circle?

When I take 4 hits inside the Cirlce, obviously with a Romer its impossible to achieve so that the hits are all at the same depth.

So, how does this affects the results.

  • Doesn't the Romer have the ability to register a hit automatically as it passes a specified plane?

yes, you could use an Auto Circle and activate Plane AutoTrigger to force inspection at a given Depth.

But the shooting of the hits becomes more difficult, as you have to "scribble" the probe up/down around the circumference of the hole. I don't think it's applicable here.

Wolfman just needs to follow Matt's recommendation if he's worried about the perpendicularity of the hole axis to the hole face.
