Romer controls mouse pointer

On my way out the door yesterday one of the operators grabbed me and demonstrated how our Romer arm has suddenly taken over the mouse pointer on the laptop. When you move the arm around it moves the pointer as if you are moving the mouse and if you click the trigger it is like left clicking the mouse. Is this a bug or is this a specific operating mode that can be turned off/on? If it can be turned off how do you do that? Thanks for any help.

  • I answered my own question here, sort of. I have found some other posts that mention a “mouse mode”so I am sure that is what is happening. So now question is : how do you switch this mode on/off and is it possible to prevent it from going to this mode altogether? This is a relatively new absolute arm with PCD 2016. I am not usually the guy who supports this machine and have never used a Romer myself, hence the very rudimentary question. Thanks for any help.
