Romer controls mouse pointer

On my way out the door yesterday one of the operators grabbed me and demonstrated how our Romer arm has suddenly taken over the mouse pointer on the laptop. When you move the arm around it moves the pointer as if you are moving the mouse and if you click the trigger it is like left clicking the mouse. Is this a bug or is this a specific operating mode that can be turned off/on? If it can be turned off how do you do that? Thanks for any help.

Switching Between Mouse Mode and Measure Mode

To switch to Mouse Mode: Press and hold the take hit button and then quickly press the done button (within the first second).

To switch to Measure Mode: Move the cursor to the top of the screen and press the middle button (left mouse button).

(the same sequence is also valid for three button configuration)

    There's also the 'manual' method:

    1. Turn the "F" axis to the limit, then
    2. Turn the "E" axis 90 degrees.
