Profile showing out of tolerance, but says the points are within the tolerance range?

PCDMIS 2016 SP10... Using a free form alignment on some contoured parts that we've been making/inspecting for years. The tolerance is set at +/- .010" ..I'm taking a set of points, and making a constructed feature set. I then profile dimension the constructed set. The outputted profile shows a min of -.007" and a max of .006" (within the +/- .010"). It shows a Deviation of .013" (out of .020) ... however, the output is listed in red, and despite the numbers showing in tolerance, lists the output in red and shows an out of tolerance of .018"

just for shits, I opened the tolerance band to +/-.100" ...It still showed out, but now with an out of tolerance of .118" ??? The min/max and dev still all show within the +/- .010, but somehow the profile is still reporting out of tolerance.

These are parts we've done thousands of, and this report I've done hundreds of times with nothing being change recently. Not sure what's up and I need to get this report printed for the customer... any ideas?

  • Ok so, I knew that if I wrote here, that I'd either figure it out, or someone would for me. had I not written this, I never would have found out. If anyone else runs into something weird like this, here's what happened. Under "Setup Options" (F5) in the dimension tab, there's a button called "minus tols show negative" ...with this checked, it showed OOT. With it not checked, everything is business as usual.. Not sure how it got checked, or why it does that.
