HELP : Creating PointCloud Color Maps causing program to not respond

First time poster here. Looking for help.

When using pointcloud color maps of scan data against a CAD model, for a filtered and CAD cleaned pointcloud size of 700k points, the program cannot keep up, leading to long periods of non-responsiveness, despite color map deviations being calculated and the UI is no longer visible and the program must be closed. Eventually, I do get a color map, but the UI cannot be interacted with, and I cannot rotate the view either. Clicking anywhere on the program shows PC-DMIS as not Not Responding and prompting me to close the program and send an error report.

The program is being run on the Hexagon provided Dell Laptop, with Intel i9-8950HK, 64 GB RAM. Looking at the Windows Task Manager during the process of creating the color map, as well as attempting to rotate the view of the part and scan after causes little to no change in CPU usage, or total memory usage. CPU usage reaches a maximum of 15% and a clock speed of 4.40 Ghz, and RAM memory usage of 4.5 GB of 64 GB total. Since I trained fairly recently on this version of PC-DMIS with a laptop of similar specifications, I expect similar performance.
If anyone knows to troubleshoot this, I would be grateful. I'm also in the process of writing a support case to Hexagon Tech Support as well.
Thanks in advance
TLDR: Applying PointCloud Color Maps cause PC-DMIS 2019 R1 to crash. CPU and Memory usage low during use.
