How would I get the position of a pocket cutout on a part? I have the X start and end points, Y, and Z, but don't really know how I can get the position of that. My first thought was to construct a square slot, but seeing at there's no real "top" to it, I couldn't get it to work.
Measure a plane on the X.1 side and another on the X.2 side then construct a 3D width from the planes. You can then do planar position of the width in then X direction. If you cant measure planes, use lines and construct a 2D width instead.
