I have Absolute Arm with RS6 scanner creating COP. My print requires Profile of Surface over several complex surfaces. Is there an easy way to extract the surface profile? I've tried to construct sets and surfaces from the COP, but the COP is not an allowable input. Multiple ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.
Matt, thanks for the response. I plan to include that in my report. I am also creating some horizontal and vertical cross sections as those can generate a value. I just wasn't sure if there was a construction or extraction path I might use to get there.
I've not done much more than color maps with COPS. I do know there is a way to also have it 'report' the deviation of each scan point on the graphics screen, but I only ever did that once, long ago. It was all bu useless as the zoom needed to see it only left such a small section visible. IF it can report each point deviation on the screen, then there should be a way to have it report the profile of the COP. Have you look through all the possible COP operations?
You can't create surface profile evaluation from COP's. If you create a colormap like Matt said, you can do a surface profile on the colormap in legacy mode.
Thank you for this help. I bet it's in line with what Matt was offering, but I couldn't recall. It was covered in training (over a year ago), and I haven't had the need since to use it. Much appreciate. The forum contributors like you and Matt will keep me coming back for the answers I need.
