Pc dmis arm

So previous operator created duplicate probe files ie '25mm' and '25mm_ruby'. The programs keep trying to recall the one I deleted. I want to delete the probe files and start over with creating, calibrating. How do I go about doing this. step by step?

  • If it's a Romer arm running through RDS then the probe files are created automatically when you connect. If you want to get rid of what you've got and refresh everything, go to Edit>Preferences>Set Search Path and select the drop down for "Probe Directory". This will tell you where the probe files are currently stored - note it down. Exit PC-DMIS, navigate to the probe directory location and make a backup copy of the entire folder (just in case) then delete everything. When you re-launch PC-DMIS and connect to the arm, it should automatically create new probe files.
