  • Get the latest version of PC-DMIS installed (version 4.2 MR1) . With that version, there is a supplied PORTABLE TUTORIAL which is a very nice guide for arms using PC-DMIS. If the tutorials are not there, contact your Romer/PC-DMIS rep, as this should be programmed in every romer portlock.

    Thanks ,
I Do Have That Version Of Pc-dmis 4.2 Mr1. I Will Look For That Tutorial. I Have One Day Of Training Coming Up On The 15th From The Vendor So I Want To Be As Informed As I Can. From All The Threads I Have Seen This Does Seem To Be One Of The Better Versions.:d

Well the CMM Gods are hereSunglasses Make sure what ever training you get is on one of your own parts with CAD and one that is typical of what you will doing. If you do not understand something, do not let him blow you off. Do not let him leave until you can Start, create and Dimenion a Report. None of this We Well get back to that. If he does say that write it down and do not let him leave until you covered all the " Get Back To's"
  • Thanks Stu And Paul ,
I'm Reading The Tutorials Now (very Helpful) And The Reason Our Company Bought The Romer Is For Checking Close Tolerance Flatness On Steam Turbine Flanges In The Field And In The Shop (usually They Are Pretty Large From 12" Dia/square To 100" Dia/square Gasket Surfaces. But Since They Gave Me The Run Of The Equipment I Want To Be Able To Use All The Capabilities We Now Have.
