Creation of automatic elements

I have a point cloud and i've to create two cylinders on it, the axis of the first one is the datum and the second is the measured one, the tolerance is parallelism.
Is an auto cylinders creation the right starting point to do that, working offline?

Yes, you need to start by extracting your two cylinders from the pointcloud. You can use either a laser auto-cylinder or a constructed extracted cylinder to do that.
