Crosshairs

I am measureing a lot of manual points due to the type and repeatabilty of my part, when I am programing these points the crosshair is nice and big, however, when I execute the program the crosshair reverts back to the very small one. Is there a way to get the large one back during program execution?Confused

  • Hmmmm...you've confused me. Which feature types are you using then?

When you program the features (e.g. Edge Point, Circle), the cross hair you see is the same that is used at execution time. It is these crosshairs you need to be aligning to the edge.

Vision features can operate in three "modes" of acquiring data. The first, and default, is Automatic Target. This uses image processing to find the points. If the edges are so bad you can only reliably find the edge manually, then you can swap to Manual Target mode (cross hair). In command mode, toggle the AUTOMATIC TARGET parameter until it says MANUAL TARGET. This sounds like what you need, as this will have the adjustable big cross hair.

I think the cross hair you're using/referring to is the small center of Field Of View indicator (which is not resizable at present - I will log it as an enhancement).
