Movement Issue During Auto-Circle

We just began using a new Optiv 321 gl tp with PC-DMIS 2011 MR1. When trying to measure the outer diameter of one of the first parts run on this machine, there was an issue. The outer diameter (roughly 30 mm) was larger than the visible area in the live view of the camera, so when it measures the part it would pan around and take the meaurments. As it panned around the region of interest kept moving further and further from the part, and near the bottom of the part the view of the camera had drifed entirely away from the part. For this feature the camera was at 2.5x zoom, and in DCC mode.

Is this an issue with the machine or software? After measurment points looked like they were assigned mostly in the correct areas, however when it would try and autofocus on the second hit target it could not because the part was not even in the live-view anymore. Should I avoid measuring larger features at any sort of zoom especially if it requires the machine to pan?

Thanks, any help is appreciated.
