Who uses CMM-V ?

This is just a survey : who uses CMM-V or CMM-Ve on is CMM ? Confused
I would be interested in communicate with users...

  • I am also looking to include the CMM-Ve in a future machine configuration.

Any and all feedback from real world users would be welcome.

I think it's a good sensor, but some "enhancements" would be welcome ! The calibration method is not simple, because it uses differnet tools (a ring for offsets, a glass for alignment and a star probe for rotations). I think that rotations should be directly calibrated on a sphere (measure an autofocus point along cmm-v axis with probedata("vector"), then shift radius and measure a circle at equator). I wrote a programm which do it, but I can't write values automatically in probe values...
It's also a little hard to find good values for filtering and lightning, it depends on materials and on angle between cmm-v and room light !!!
I never had better offset between contact and non-contact feature than 0,015 mm (location of a hole or a pin without chamfer.
