Multiple alignments

Has anyone tried to use a multiple alignments?
The program works and it measured all the feature up to the second alignment. When i ran the program, the orientation of the camera is still on the original position. Below is how i set up my program:

I established CAD/PART orinetation, and my 1st alignment. I created all the features to be measured looking down the part. Now, I want to measure the side view of the part. I established a new origin (as my second aligment) and inserted the "Equate Alignment"

  • I am still struggling to set up more than one alignment in the program, and moving or re -positioning the part from top view to side view.

Can someone give me a detail steps? I have tried Align Equate, and inserting new alignments in the program....but nothing works. I am a bit frustrated now.

    Thanks,
    Jacob

Unless you use a rotary or a fixture, changing the part view from top to side will require a completely new Alignment. Using the vision alone, you cant effectively tie together two alignments.

So if you are rotating the part, start with the "Startup" alignment on the new side. To reduce the graphic confusion it might be easier to start a new program for "Side 2"
