Back in the past !

I just re-installed my rotary table on the cmm, and tried to make it turns with vision dll's with v2015.1 , 2016 and 2017... NOTHING !!!!!
The only way to make it works is using 2014.1 (actually SP6, it worked from SP3 or 4, I don't remember exactly)

Changing dll (leitz.dll => interfac.dll) makes it works, but without vision !

How can they (developers !) change something which works fine by something which doesn't ?????

Is it usefull to pay a sma from year to year, and stay with an old version ?

Well, it's just like when they released 2016 and broke calibration with vision (focusing). How can one break something that is needed to run the machine? My mind is in the same state as you JEFMAN . Confused.

Until you do decide to upgrade and have to back pay all those years.

Not to mention with your SMA you get to call tech support so they can tell you that you should stay with the older version until the bug is fixed.

I am unaware of Rotary Tables not working with the versions of Pcdmis you mention. We have mutliple Optiv systems running with single & stacked rotary tables in 2015.1 and above. These are on FDC systems with Vision, so the files would be:
HEXMSI.dll -> Interfac.dll
HSI_SLC.dll -> HSI.dll
FDC.dll -> Interfachelper.dll.

I will ask @ Don Ruggieri if he has a system that he test with the leitz.dll

I'm not with a FDC, but with aB6CS, under leitz protocol. (leitz = interfachelper, HEXMSi=interfac,don't know about HSI, i'm not at the cmm now...)
Let me know what it should be...

The cmm has those settings, so there's a problem...
There were some changings between 2014.1 and 2015 which make the rotary doesn't work...
What are they ???????

what do you mean by "HEXMSI.dll -> Interfac.dll" ?? is this to mean they have changed the dll name or that you are modifying the name so the program runs properly?
