How bad is it that my work partner cleaned off the fabric way cover on our CMM with compressed air? I was sick, at home on Friday and my other work partner told me about it this morning. I want to validate that what I was taught is true, that this is a no no before I have a talk with him.
Kinda weird that the Vision System has bellows to begin with. If a true CMM w/ Vision attachment, then what Matt says is spot on. For those bellows? I used to pull 'em off from the velcro, stretch 'em out on a suitable long table and wipe off the dust, debris, crud with a slightly moistened Kimwipe (or since away from the machine...blast 'em like crazy with air) but never blow those dust rhinos around while near the ways. (it DID kinda suck to have to fold them all nice-nice for re-install, but I gained valuable laundry fluff-n-fold experience)
