Don't ever try moving a CMM yourself (unless it's the latest model on wheels). It needs the correct locking before lifting, it needs to be supported at the appropriate points when lifted, it needs
at least verification after being put down at the new place, most often a calibration, too. And insurance is an important part of the job.
