Older versions with the edit window?

Can anyone tell me if programming using the edit window in CAD ++, is the same for programming/editing in earlier versions like 4.3 or even earlier? Are the menus and pulldowns relatively the same too? Thanks....

Yes everything is pretty much the same, just a few added features that are useful and relatively easy to learn.
