Crashing on Startup

Hey guys, I'm new to this whole forum thing. I just had a question that I'm not sure can be answered as I have inquired with many people about it. Has anyone had an issue with after starting up your computer and PC-DMIS the next day, whether you start running the part with your manual alignment marked or unmarked, that you have a vector change. By this I mean that instead of the probe moving to a clearplane as is usually customary when beginning DCC that the vector in the "Z" axis actually flips. So if you have a clearplane set for say an inch about the top surface of the part, it will actually slam down into the part instead of moving up? Has anyone had this issue and know what could be causing it and how to avoid it. It hasn't been as much an issue lately, but there was a few months not too long ago that everyday I came in and started up my part I would have to turn the jog box way down, cancel the execution, and then as if a blessing, when I re-executed the program, everything went back to the way it was? Very strange I know. Thanks guys!Slight smile

  • I'm not exactly sure what you mean? It doesn't pertain to one specific part and I haven't noticed it doing it lately. I'm sorry I sound a little vague about this, but even for myself the issue was kind of black and white in terms of which parts it did it for, and when the errors were occuring :/
