When flatness is called out on drawing. How many hits and how far away are each hit has to be? What is the proper way to manually very a flatness call out?
So I assume this is pretty accurate, but not as accurate as the CMM. However I would guess it's mainly used for a "(someone brings casting in and asks) can you check for flatness of the this part real fast", and versus putting it on the CMM and building a program just to test flatness, put it on here and run over this fast and boom here ya go,....type thing???
