I've seen questions like this throughout the site but the answers never get copied to the "How To" part of the form which should be the natural place to look so I thought I would post how I did it.
(Extremely Basic Scan)
MANUAL MODE:
Measure plane, 3 points.(ON THE FACE WHICH THE HOLE IS IN)
Measure the Circle, 3 points
ALIGN: LEVEL PLANE AND ORIGIN IN "Z" THEN ORIGIN THE CIRCLE IN "X AND Y".
Enter DCC MODE: (good practice to add a clearplane in here)
INSERT/SCAN/CIRCLE
Type of Circle:IN or OUT
DIAMETER: Enter the size of your Circle you got from your Manually measured Circle
DEPTH: Enter how deep you want to Scan (Note: because of the alignment you will not need to enter a "minus" value, if you want to measure 2mm down just enter 2.000 instead of -2.000)
Create a Circle from the Scan and tolerance accordingly.
It may not be the prettiest way of doing it (I don't have CAD Models) but I found it to be good training practice.
