Feature ID's

Is there a way to manualy place your feature ID's so they do not default when you change the view or take points on PCDmis 2014.1 I am use to 2012.MR1 when you change your labels with leader lines to the feature they stay where you place them.

I'm using 3.7 so.........

EDIT / PREFERENCES / SETUP / GENERAL TAB, uncheck automatic label positioning. Helps, doesn't lock it all up tight but it helps.
