3D-Printed fixtures

I'm looking into easy fixture solutions and was thinking about 3D printed fixtures. Would that be possible. I'm wondering if I could make some fixture arms, or even some standoffs, or if needed some complex fixtures. That being said, what filament would work well for both precision and accuracy as well as durability. PLA and ABS look like good candidates. Or am I wasting my time?

  • Owner of the company purchased a 70k markforged 3d printer that can print in continuous carbon fiber. Work volume isn't that large but the idea is to get the process of designing fixtures for CNC machines and other projects where a part can be printed instead of using CNC production time. I've gotten some fixtures printed for my CMM and the prints come out amazing. Once we get used to not making mistakes anymore, he wants to invest in a metal 3d printer for things like machine jaws and such.
