Questions about "Activ" compensation

On "old" controllers (ie B3CLC), under "testsoft", you can see the pitch compensation, also a "posit" compensation.
1- How can I see those values with a new controller, like DC800 ?
2- In the machine interface set up, what are the "volcomp parameters" to use ? (Leitz protocol now - don't know after retrofit to DC controller, next month)

  • Someone else ? In the manufactory, in soft programmers ?
  • Pretty sure you are locked out of any kind of comp map info on any controller supplied/built/sold by Hex over the last 15 years (at least).

I'm working on the calculation of uncertainties on cmms (thanx to shut down, for this point only Slight smile ), and the temp comp is a important part of uncertainty
I can calculate the pitch created by the difference of temperature between top and bottom of granite, the difference of length between the scales and the granite, I just would like to check them (question #1)
In addition, I would like to know what parameters to use, without checking (for example) if the pitch from temperature is took into account or not (question #2).
For this last question, I think every user should be informed on what parameters to use, function on its cmm set up...
