Can I change the Probe movement before and after Probe changes?

There is a button for that on the probe rack window. Set home point? Clear point? Safe point? Windows update has possessed the CMM computer so I cannot take a look at the moment.

Just navigate to that section in your help file and follow the instructions, then it will match the version you have installed on your machine. 

while it 'sounds' like a good idea to use less than the "maximum" height you have to save time, that value will be used for EVERY probe change.  as soon as you have a higher (taller) part on the machine, you could be ramming the probe into the part at probe change.

No need to apologize, we are all learning. Anyone who says they know it all is a big fat liar face! 

I appreciate the input however none if our products will be more than an inch or two tall and the probe tree is well above that.
