Windows Quindos 6 crashing

Is there a Quindos command (like "Save") or another Windows short-cut to save programs as you go along and build a program?? (besides "save early, save often") I used the very stable Unix platform for Quindos3 for many years and now am in the crash/error happy Windows environment. (errors are your typical "fatal this" and "fatal that" and others) Had the IT guy come out but there is no issue with my Xp box. Is this something that I just have to get used to???

  • Yes, there is the command SAVE.

Quindos6 is 'old' and most likely the version you have (execute the command VERSION to see, the last 4 digits denote the year and day of the year. For example 6.3324 is Quindos6, 324th day of 2003) is not tested for the 'newer' computer/hoardware. Most likely the problem you are having with the 'crashes' are due to the fact that your version (3.3210) is 'old' and is not compatible with the computer hardware (i.e. if you have hyperthreading set to 'on' in the bios, and/or you have a dual core processor).
You have some choices, either turn off hyperthreading and disable one processor, or install a newer version/build of Quindos6, or better yet, upgrade to Quindos7.

Any questions, feel free to contact me.Slight smile
