Need Help! Select Working Environment

We have a shop floor CMM with Quindos 6 on it. I rarely use it, but I seem to be the "go to guy".

Hard drive failure and IT installed a new drive.

I start up the computer and controller, open Quindos and come to the "Select Working Environment" screen. Well, it seems like the old setting is not to be seen. There is only a choice "Test" at the top. Select that and it does not work.

Is there a way to retieve the 'old' working environment name, or do I have to create a new one?

If I have to create a new one, what are the proper steps?

Thanks in advance.

  • By default, the environments for Q6 are located in C:\Quindos6Users\(YourPCloginhere)\

Unless you have a backup, you will need to recreate things. This involves setting up a new environment with the Q6 Environments Management. The icon to launch this should be in the Q6 install files if it doesn't show up on the desktop.

You will need to go line by line in the Edit tab (setting registry stuff) to tell it sensors, probe head, etc etc etc. It's a pain in the ***.

Post if you get stuck again. The Quindos forum here is a bit echo-y but I'll try to check often.
