Scanning issue

Please see the images. I have taken the basic course, but only use the software a few times a year. Is there anything I can to reduce or stop this?

It looks like the probe is swinging...

It is happening at the start of the scan and was noticed by the customer 3 months later when they finally got to analysis. I also scanned a part with the same dimensions along with this one and it didn't have this issue, could it be in the specific part's program?

Upon looking at this further, at least one of the scans has the problem continuing completely around the part.

more info is needed to diagnose. What are you scanning (material, surface condition)? With what type of probe/CMMs (Leitz PMM,Global,... SP600, SP25,... )? What type of scan (defined path aka open loop or HSS/high speed scan or undefined path aka closed loop)? What scan speed(s)? .....

Also be aware, if scanning with an analog probe, what parameters are you using? Parameters not only set in Quindos, but also on the controller level. Best to contact us to resolve.
