Feature Control Frame Editor!

I just installed the offline seed of pcdmis 2012.When I click on any of the dimensioning icons (flatness, true position, perpindicularity, etc.) in the feature control frame editor I cannot type in the tolerancing or select my datums because it looks like the the boxes are to small to click inside of them. Anyone have this issue when installing new software??

  • The font is probably there, it just hasn't been registered properly in Windows. Have you rebooted the computer since installation? Many times that is enough.

    If that doesn't help, try:

    - turn off PC-DMIS
    - start Windows Explorer
    - go to the folder where PC-DMIS is installed
    - locate the file gdtfontforpcdmis.reg and double-click it (you may need Administrator right for this), answer YES
    - reboot the computer
    - start PC-DMIS and check again

As a side note, did you do the installation with all the following steps?

    - reboot computer
    - install PC-DMIS
    - reboot computer
    - start PC-DMIS ("As Administrator" if you are on Windows 7)

Doing the reboot before and after seems to minimize problems with the installation.

BTW - why is this question in the Quindos section of the forum?
