Quindos 7 GEAR

Hello forum

I have a cylinder gear to measure.
Can someone provide me the gear manual from the Quindos 7 gear training course in German or English?
Minimal knowledge of gear measurement with Quindos is available, but I would like to read more about it.

Best regards
Michael

  • Hello Hribe, I read your post with interest this morning as it's something we hear on a regular basis. It's like the automatic park function on many cars these days, it's there, but you don't have to use it. It's the same with the Quindos GEAR dialogs - if you don't need it, ignore it.

The features you mentioned (tip modification, end relief) are not called out on the drawing, so don't check the box & don't fill out the dialog.

To answer your question about the plots, they look plausible, however you should increase the scaling on the profile & flank plot so that you an see the deviations in more detail.

A bit more run-in & run-out on both the profile & flank would be better as the evaluation range corresponds to the measurement range & gear-guys don't like to see that on the plots.

Speaking of gear-guys, it would probably make sense for you to do some (non-Quindos) gear training to bring you up to speed on the technology - relying on the metrology software to make quality-related judgements for you is not a place I would like to be.
