Hi, all. One of our HTA CMM operators is telling me that he is seeing "Rotary table overflow" alarms at night when he's running the machines and he says he has to turn the machine off and let it sit. I have personally never seen this, I have only ever seen X or Y-axis overflow alarms on the jogbox. Has anyone come across the rotary table overflow alarm, and if so, do you know what caused it and/or how to fix it? Thanks.
Hello Dsmith, The error mesaage is based on excessive Motor current. There are 2 main causes for this, either the motor is pulling too much current & is on it's way out or there is a problem on the drive side, such as a loose drive belt. Does the problem occour in slow as well as auto? if it works OK in slow, then you may have to live with it untils something breaks - then you know what the cause is. Otherwise it could be the Emergency-stop board or the servo amplifier. Both unlikely.
