Hallo, In simufact laser welding simulation, the heat source deviates from defined path (may due to deflection of plate). Results in the sudden rise of temperature along the laser path. Used 0.3 mm mesh and 0.005s time step. Anyone help me to solve.

  • You can show the trajectories and the active heat sources in the result view and check if they are affected by the deflection. In this case you can try to activate these options for the robot:
    Robot > Trajectories: "Projection on surface"
    and "Connect trajectory to nodes", the latter functions only if the sample points of the trajectory are close enough to nodes of the fillet, if for only one sample point no close node found then this option will be ignored.
