Hello all,
I am doing a compression test on a cylinder using two rigid dies and I would like to get the load displacement curves, all am able to get is force for the die which is considered as load and for the displacement what should i consider?
can the Z directional displacement taken in to consideration if not what should I count on which will help me to get the stress strain curves from the Load & displacement.
You can also consider the Z directional displacement in the THS plot of the moving die to get the displacement for the load displacement curve.
But the 1st option shown by Max above is much nicer. The THS plot force vs. stroke should be what you need. Just consider that positioning and release may be included in the stroke.
