Hello everyone. I am working on full drivetrain template in Adams Car where Adams Machinery Gears are going to be used. This template should be useful for NVH research purposes. So, because of it, the template built with Adams/Driveline will not be useful, only gear with 3D contact.
For practice, I want to build the open differential from Adams Tutorial Kit in the driveline_rwd template from acar_concept.
I'd like to ask if there is anyone who has same experience. Now I can't formulate an accurate question about any specific problem, as I still try different options to build, for example, a rear final gear with a differential: different gear joints, different ways to attach a torque, trials to use IC Coupler (like in the steering template with 3D Machinery Gear)...
Here is a driveline template from acar_concept, where I built a final gear with a differential (attached to the message). Its input and outputs are linked with other parts like red bosses from the original template (they imitate a differential). This template is used in sedan_RWD assembly.
When I try to simulate the model (for example, maintain 50kmh), solver warns that it have found out a singular Jacobian matrix, and that the initial percent of throttle is 6E+07 - much bigger than 100 percent! As a result, torque transferring is interrupted on first steps of simulation, and the model rolls without power.
I think that you (obviously) can't just take and replace standard red bosses with gears, and that gear forces (either simplified or 3D contact) have an impact.
I don't have any other ideas what can be wrong, so I ask for your help.
