ADAMS/Car: Modify EV Powertrain from 2 motors to 4 motors

Hi All,

I need to modify the EV Powertrain from 2 motors (1 front and 1 rear) to 4 motors (1 at each corner).

I have a few ideas how to maybe do this.

A 'long' way is to modify the existing template by building left and right parts, joints, etc.

Is there a quicker 'hack' in modifying the existing EV powertrain to get 4 motors?

Hi Joe,

This is already made; If you use a recent release and look into the EV-Hybrid plugin there is a 'e_vehicle_in_wheel_motor.asy' which contain wheel mounted motors. If you want to use it as body mounted you will need to physically move the motors inboard and change the communicators to accept halfshafts.
