Is there a way to set a motion statement to rotate an object around each of it's own axis?

I can only figure out how to move it in reference to another object, and setting an initial velocity won't work for this scenario.

  • Hi Sarah,

The rotational DOF's of the General Point Motion actually is about the local reference frame (X, Y' and Z'').

You can also look into the MOTION statement in the Solver docs at:

Adams Basic Package > Adams Solver > Welcome to the C++ Version of Adams Solver > C++ Statements > MOTION

and refer to the B1, B2 and B3 arguments to read more.

    Thank you,
