What is the best way to model a flexible part where the part is not attached to any other rigid part; only contacts take place to keep the part in place. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • Yes, thanks J Patterson.
The flex spring has a geometry such that it will have contact with other parts in almost all its outer surfaces.
That makes it a complex solution. I was planning to select certain areas of the flex spring and allow them to solve the contacts and increase the contact areas if needed (depending on the response precision) I am trying to get info on ideas to simplify and provide accurate results. Any ideas welcome. Thanks a lot Juan
