Possibility to connect two nodes (or node groups) with a linear thermal conductance GL

I started recently to use Marc for thermal analysis in vacuum. I normally model lumped thermal networks with softwares like Thermica / Esatan, where I have a lot to do with simple conductors. I would like to know if I can connect two nodes (or node groups) with a conductance. It would be particularly useful for example, when I already know the value of a bolt conductance and I don't need to model it in Marc. In the example of the attached picture I modeled the bolt.

Thank you

  • Hi Bruno,

You can define thermal contact , when the bodies are in contact i.e within the contact toelrance, there would be conduction. There is also a "near contact " option to model convection & radiation.
You can use either touching or Glue contact.
Refer to chapter e080 - Thermal Contact Analysis in a Pipe from Marc_UG
