  • Dear Denzel Li,

This feature is not supported in Mentat, User has to incorporate this in the input .dat file and usage is limited to Modal analysis only.

    Ex:

    fluid solid
    5,1,3,10,
    6,1,4,10,

Example is available in Marc Vol.E Chapter 6.5, Frequencies of Fluid-solid Coupled System

This method uses the added mass approach; to include the fluid effect.
This is a different approach than the Coupled Fluid Solid Analysis. The idea is that mass of the fluid is added to the structural elements which are attached to the fluid. The user has to make a connection between each face of the solid which connects the fluid.
