You can create a fine mesh on a solid by increasing the number of solid mesh seeds. In Mentat, you can specify the number of divisions in the Solid Mesh Seeds option. Please refer the attached image.
Thanks for replying. When I use vertex mesh seeds then Automesh/Volume/Solid/Tetra, the mesh is generated uniformly. my solid body is cubic shape and I want finer mesh in one corner of the cube.
Thanks, I did it. Now I have another problem. I have solid seed vertex in one corner of the cube and solid tetrahedral mesh with scale factor of 5. Total number of mesh is 164 and my element class is 157 (tera4). I want to have finer mesh in that corner with out changing the other meshs, how can I do that?
You will have to specify appropriate mesh seeding (vertex or edge or combination of both) before meshing the part. The mesher will mesh the part accordingly.
So there is no way to have the the finer mesh without changing it? Because I don't want to have finer mesh in whole edge I don't use edge seed. for eaxample I want to have finer mesh just in the half of the edge.
You can use Subdivide option to split the mesh. However, you need to make sure that there is element connectivity between the nodes once you use this option.
